Our story

Founded on fifty years in the field.

Neil Smith and Dennis Frederickson started the company in 2018. Neil brought over fifty years in excavation and heavy civil work, from small backfill jobs to highway projects with crews of fifty. Dennis brought over forty years in construction and project management across residential, commercial, utility and earthmoving work.

Since Neil’s passing in 2022, Dennis has led the company through steady growth. The standard has not changed: quality work, on time, on budget, and everyone home safe.

How we deliver

Structured for major projects.

Every job is run by a full project team, from the first estimate to the final as-built. Owners and construction managers deal with one accountable contractor.

    Estimating

    A dedicated estimating division prices tenders, prequalifications and change work for municipal, school district and private clients.

  2. 02

    Pre-construction

    Traffic management plans, local bylaws and Good Neighbour programs are reviewed and in place before we mobilize.

  3. 03

    Project management

    A Senior Project Manager on every project, with a dedicated Project Manager running it day to day.

  4. 04

    Field operations

    Site superintendents and foremen lead the crews, with Trimble GPS grade control and digital reporting on site.

  5. 05

    Quality and close-out

    Coordinators manage QA/QC records, RFIs, testing and as-builts through to handover.

  6. 06

    Safety

    COR certified, with a Construction Safety Officer and a toolbox meeting at the start of every shift.

Our Certificate of Recognition from the BC Construction Safety Alliance confirms an audited health and safety program. A dedicated Construction Safety Officer works with every crew on hazard identification and compliance.
